Infantry against zombies. Overview of the Broken Lines PC version

I love beautiful step -by -step games very much, so this project was obliged to attract my attention sooner or later. And the game did not fail, it is wonderful.

The project is declared for platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, Mac OS

Separately, please note that this is a review of the version for the PC (Steam), which, judging by the materials found, is very different for the better from options on other devices.

The game presents an alternative history of the Second World War. A group of British soldiers, after training, on two aircraft, is sent to serve in a fictional country. No one knows where and why flies, and when unknown “faceless” are in place instead of Fritz in place, everything is finally confused. We have to unravel the ball of this story, having gone through the roads of the game.

Regarding the plot part, it is worth noting that random events will meet along the way, random dialogs await during rest that affects the game quite strongly.

The game is a good shared step -by -step tactics, and quite a little encountered and seemed to me successful, introducing the dynamics, the principle of the simultaneous action of all units within the framework. With a certain dexterity, the battle can go almost in real time.

I extremely recommend training – this will give you almost all important basic knowledge of the combat system.

After training, we can already go to the study of the world. At the same time, we can send up to four out of eight to the mission:

Actions in battle are similar to a deeply modernized game “Stone-Little Fighting Little Man” or, in this case, “Automatic Window-Browdock”. The system seems simple, but in fact it turns out not so, because, in addition to, in fact, we need to take into account the mass of the nuances. I will list the main:

– In the process of development, the detachment receives perks. To distribute them – real art, you need to take into account individuality, weapons of a particular fighter and its role in the detachment.

In addition, the design of the levels that we have to overcome, they are large, thought out, are saturated with objects, shelters, bypass and counteratory ways.

Enemies are located and act smartly, hold key points, move. Sometimes all skill is required to smoke some well-sown beetle.

During overcoming, the situation on the battlefield often changes, reinforcements are approaching the enemies, so we have to understand where we are going, how to attack, and if we need to leave.

One of the chips of the game is an unusual move system. We distribute assignments to our fighters: take some positions, attack or do something else. Then we press the button for the beginning of the course and the ecshen occurs for nine seconds – all the units, ours and enemy, go simultaneously. Very convenient and gives cool dynamics to all the action. At the same time, in some cases, we can, due to the changed circumstances, change tasks for the fighters, and we can plan several moves ahead.

In addition to combat comrades, the only assistant in the adventures is the local merchant, whom we help out in one of the missions. He can buy weapons, consumables, supplies, drinks and even perks.

In addition to the actual battles, it is necessary to ensure that the well -being of the soldiers does not spoil too much, otherwise they will leave the detachment. To support their forces, supplies and drinking are used, and from a boutog, the detachment takes on rather funny properties.

Consider the pros and cons of the game, let us summarize.

+ Good musical and sound accompaniment.

+ Excellent step -by -step combat system. The rare case when stepping does not affect the dynamics of the process.

+ Good study of weapons, objects, perks.

+ Excellent levela design in combination with large levels. There is where to roam, while the area is saturated with functional objects.

+ The game can give serious challenge for lovers of serious zarub. You can configure the difficulty so that you will literally have to think through every step.

+ Developers do not throw a project after the release. For example, a pleasant in -game contest with prizes was recently made and added a new free extension.

+ Excellent Russian localization of the text.

– High for our region, the price in Steam. Even at a discount.

– There is no cooperative. And it could be interesting.

– Sometimes an imbalance is observed in battle. I will not be particularly focusing, it is rare, but sometimes we shoot enemies with impunity, but they seem to not understand that they will die now.

– No random level generation. Reigracy is limited by various difficulties and new passages of the same levels, and only as part of a new common campaign. T.e. Game at a time, if desired – repeat.

The game is of high quality. Not without minuses, but with its obvious advantages and high overall quality of study. I extremely recommend adding to the list of desired.
